This Allergic Traveler just returned from Montreal. Montreal was home to me for over thirty years. It was nice to get back and spend some time with family and friends. As it was Grand Prix weekend, we also got to see all the cars on Crescent street (see photos below).  It’s funny because when I lived there I did everything possible to get out of town on this weekend, as there were so many tourists in town. And now, 5 years later, I ended up flying in on that very weekend. What are the chances?

I have to say it brought back many memories. Whether it was spending time with new babies, checking out the action or simply enjoying a cappuccino on a terrasse, all made the trip memorable. When it came time to eating, I ended up eating out A LOT! Montreal is known for its multiculturalism and it’s restaurants. As such, any time we went out to eat (Typhoon, Rockaberry’s, etc.), there was always a multitude of options for me. With having so many food allergies, I typically end up eating salads with oil and vinegar on the side. This is my safe option. However, this was not the case in Montreal. I even ended up gaining weight while I was there! It’s back to the gym for me – however no regrets as the food was divine and so was the company! As always, I am looking forward to my next trip back.Pretty!
